Do
what you do well, but, do it better each day.
Don't try
to be an expert outside your own field. Be an expert in what you already
know best.
Be conscious.
Don't go around with your hands in
your pockets and your eyes looking at the ceiling. Get out and find out
what is happening outside your office.
Learn to learn.
It is difficult to teach, if you
do not know how to learn.
Learn something you do not know
anything about e.g. Mouth Organ. This will make you a better
teacher.
Gather information
You can't give away anything you
have not got. Don't hoard it, but use it and pass it on.
Teach someone something each day.
Only by explaining something to
others do you get to really understand it yourself. In doing so don't
make yourself look too knowledgeable...show it by your actions.
Do not complain about anything......... To someone who
cannot do anything about it.
(i.e. - Take all complaints
to the source.)
Be a thermostat not a thermometer.
Don't get mad when others get mad,
get happy.
Acknowledge people.
Don't say the machine is great,
say their choice of machine was great.
Have Fun and be playful.
People respond, machines react.
Get the big picture & KISS - Keep it Simple Stupid.
REMEMBER - The solutions to most
complex problems are simple.
Don't assume that the solution is
going to be as complex as the problem appears to you.
